Rowan is an investor and growth specialist. He has a rich history of investing and collaborating with early-stage VC-backed start-ups and leading high-stakes equity ventures.
Having identified the investment potential in SMEs, Rowan co-founded the AB1 Group to capitalise on this market, drive growth in the sector, and support entrepreneurs in realising their business aspirations.
Rowan is responsible for sourcing investment opportunities for our group, then negotiating and structuring our deals. In the case of distressed businesses, Rowan works with business owners to restructure their companies, ensuring a successful turnaround and recovery.
Living in Cambridgeshire, Rowan is a devoted father to his three 'little monsters'. An ardent football enthusiast, he loyally supports Reading football club.

The AB1 Group was founded by two former school friends, Rowan Corben and Ed Hunt. Recognising the investment potential in small to medium-sized UK businesses, they established the AB1 Group to build a portfolio of profitable SMEs.
Instead of opting for the passive nature of traditional investment markets, Rowan and Ed specifically chose to invest in SMEs. By focusing on SMEs, they are not just providing capital but are also deeply involved in the operational and strategic development of these companies.
